Service First Mortgage Ranked in Top 5 in Dallas Morning News "Top 100 Places to Work"

Six years and counting.

Every year the Dallas Morning News publishes a list of the top companies to work for in Dallas-Fort Worth, and Service First has been named as a recipient for the sixth year in a row. This year, Service First rose to #5 based on nominations and votes.

Much of Service First’s success is tied to its strong commitment to its team members. With the entire company working remotely and not able to see their teams in person, that did not hinder Service First’s ability to provide coaching and company engagement opportunities.

The Service First Culture Committee started multiple initiatives to support the team while working from home from virtual races to keep everyone active to forming a tutoring program to help those with students stay strong in their classes.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Top Places To Work nominations are solicited each spring. Anyone can nominate a company — a worker, the CEO, even someone outside the company. Each firm must have at least 50 local employees to enter. Local workers are defined as those in 10 counties: Dallas, Tarrant, Denton, Collin, Ellis, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall and Wise.

To qualify as a Top 100 company, at least 35 percent of a firm’s workers must fill out an anonymous survey. Firms with 85 employees or fewer must have at least 30 responses. Energage analyzed the answers from 74,500 employees at 289 participating Dallas-Fort Worth companies this year to determine the rankings.
